WHY CREATE A HOME GYM?
In January, gyms are likely to be either extremely busy or even possibly closed. With that in mind, there doesn’t seem a more perfect time to create a home workout space.
1 – CHOOSE THE RIGHT SPACE
Assess your options and decide where you could build a gym. Whether you choose a spare room or a garage, it is crucial to ensure you have enough space for all your equipment.
2 – START SMALL: GET THE ESSENTIALS
Focus on the fundamentals and start with items such as dumbbells, a skipping rope, and a bench if you have room for one.
3 – ONLY BUY EQUIPMENT YOU WILL ACTUALLY USE
Purchasing equipment is the easy part; next you have to actually use it! Don’t be too ambitious – build up your gym slowly and only buy items that will genuinely benefit you.
4 – BUY RUBBER GYM MATTING
As an often overlooked, but extremely important gym essential; rubber matting helps to prevent injuries, while protecting the floor and reducing noise. Click here to view our gym matting.
