Bespoke Rubber Gaskets & Seals

Rubber Gaskets

Designed to compress under pressure and create a reliable seal between two mating surfaces, a gasket prevents leaks and protects against the ingress of fluids, gases and contaminants across industrial, commercial and specialist applications. Coruba has manufactured bespoke rubber gaskets from our purpose-built 11,000-square-foot UK facility since 1981.

Rubber Seals

From enclosures, access panels and door frames to pipework, mechanical assemblies and industrial equipment, rubber seals are used across a broad range of static sealing applications. Coruba manufactures seals to your exact dimensions across the same range of compounds as our rubber gaskets, with WRAS-approved and FDA-compliant grades available where required.

For lighter sealing applications, our rubber strips offer a practical alternative depending on the compression and fit.

Selecting the Right Compound

Material selection is critical to long-term sealing performance. Key considerations include the substance or fluid being sealed, operating temperature range, exposure to UV, ozone or weathering, and any specific compliance requirements.

For a full overview of compound properties, visit our rubber compounds list or use our chemical compatibility chart to confirm suitability for your application and environment before ordering.

offering excellent resistance to moisture, gases and general weathering, butyl rubber components are well suited to airtight and watertight sealing applications

compressed non-asbestos fibre assures reliable sealing in high-pressure and high-temperature environments

compressible and conformable, this material is ideal for low-pressure sealing applications and irregular surfaces

provides outstanding resistance to weathering, UV and ozone. WRAS-approved grades available for potable water applications

suitable for electrical and industrial applications requiring good electrical insulation properties

reinforced construction provides improved dimensional stability and resistance to extrusion under high compression loads

highly resistant to chemicals, UV and extreme weather, Hypalon is suited to demanding outdoor and industrial environments

flexible and resilient with excellent tensile and tear strength, this option is suitable for general purpose industrial sealing

this versatile all-round compound provides good resistance to oils, weathering and flame for a wide range of applications

the preferred material for applications involving oils, fuels, greases and petroleum-based products

tough and abrasion-resistant, polyurethane is suitable for applications subject to wear, mechanical stress or frequent movement

this is a cost-effective option for light-duty sealing and protection in low-pressure environments

hard-wearing and economical, SBR is suitable for general industrial sealing where exposure to oils and fuels is not a factor

ideal for high-temperature environments with FDA-approved and WRAS-approved grades available for food, pharmaceutical and potable water applications

these lightweight and compressible materials are perfect for low-pressure sealing, cushioning and gap filling applications

a premium compound, Viton offers outstanding resistance to chemicals, fuels and high temperatures for the most demanding applications

Manufacturing & Cutting Methods

All rubber gaskets and seals are cut in-house from our rubber sheeting range using our ATOM FlashCut machine alongside waterjet cutting, die-cutting, strip cutting and punching. Our manufacturing processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring consistent quality across every order. Bespoke orders carry no tooling costs and no minimum order requirement, making them accessible, whether you need a single component or a larger production run.

As a specialist rubber gasket manufacturer, we’re happy to advise on material selection, tolerances and specifications before you commit to an order. Call 01702 560194 or email info@coruba.co.uk to discuss your project.
