Coruba’s Rubber Inflatables

With state of the art manufacturing facilities to provide inflatable products that are strictly in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, Coruba’s products are extensively researched and developed to the highest standards.

Rubber Inflatable Products

CoruCell

The CoruCell is an inflatable product that prevents gas or moisture contamination from reaching the transformer oil due to oxidation and hydrolysis. This air cell is usually fitted inside a conservator tank to separate, isolate and insulate oil from the atmosphere.

CoruCell works by venting the bag to the transformer through a flange type mounting. It then inflates or deflates to accommodate oil volume displacements due to changes in transformer temperature. Pressure on the surface of the oil is also constantly maintained, so the oil won’t become supersaturated.

Manufactured using the time-tested combination of a nylon (polyamide) fabric and a thick coating of elastomers, such as acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), poly-chloroprene (CR) and Hypalon (CSM), the CoruCell can minimise separator degradation and prevent air leaking through the membranes – thus reducing the amount of air in the transformer oil.

CoruTanks

Available in two variants, the Corutanks can accommodate water, various chemicals, oil, gases and other liquids.

Closed Type Vertex (Pillow Storage Tank)

Pillow storage tanks can be used for both temporary and long-term liquid storage. Available in capacities of 300 to 300,000 litres, this type of tank can be easily transported and quickly installed, with little to no on-site preparation. It is typically used for military operations, relief efforts, rural construction sites and in other commercial areas.

Open Top Vertex (Onion Tank)

Commonly used for spill recovery, firefighting and for the storage of potable water or different types of industrial liquids, these tanks have an open top design that allows easy filling. They are deemed useful in applications including:

  • Fish hatcheries
  • Watering
  • Rainwater accumulation
  • Drilling

An open top vertex tank can also be used as a portable pool - simply place some rubber safety mats beneath and around the tank.

CoruBalloons

Designed for storage for beverage companies, CoruBalloons are used to create an intermediate storage tank for any industrial gas prior to bottling under pressure.

The gas holder balloon is fabricated from a high tenacity polyamide fabric matrix – impregnated with a compatible polymer on the inside and with Neoprene on the outside to protect against weather abrasion and to provide UV resistance.

Lightweight and easy to install, the gas holder balloon eliminates the need for conventional metal tanks – it doesn’t corrode since it is made from fabric. A CoruBalloon also saves floor space, as it can be hung from the ceiling.

CoruBladders

CoruBladders are widely used to prevent pressure surges in hydraulic systems that might arise when the flow in a pipeline is suddenly stopped – as they absorb and limit the pressure increase.

Made from specially formulated rubber, the bladder is flexible and can be compressed up to zero levels during surge operations. Bladders are also specially designed for the storage of nitrogen, with technical properties that make them extremely durable and resistant to cavitation and failure.

CoruRafts

Typically used as an independent unit, CoruRafts are small inflatable boats that are carried for emergency evacuations - they inflate in the water when the painter line is pulled. With a total load capacity of 1500kg, CoruRafts can usually carry as many as 20 people.

CoruBoats

CoruBoats are designed and developed in a comprehensive range, having an international standard quality that is prepared under the strict supervision of highly qualified professionals. They have:

  • Seaworthiness
  • Positive buoyancy
  • Stability
  • Freeboard
  • Exceptionally high load capacity

Applicable for use in geophysical industries, oil spill recovery units, offshore sectors and rescue squads among others, our inflatable workboats come in several formats:

  • Marine inflatable boat with 2+1 person capacity
  • Marin inflatable boat with 3+1 person capacity
  • Reece boat

From design and compounding, right up to the completed product, all our inflatable products undergo a controlled manufacturing process – giving us the competitive edge over our competitors.
