Rectangular sandwich stud mounts feature a straightforward design where the rubber section is positioned between a top and bottom metal plate. These mounts incorporate an integrally bonded metal interleaf, which enhances vertical stiffness and maximum load capacity while leaving horizontal stiffness relatively unaffected.
Sandwich mountings can be used in compression, shear, or a combination of both. For optimal performance, they can also be arranged in a “V” configuration to maximize their effectiveness.
