Offering a number of advantages over other forms of rubber sheeting, silicone sheeting is commonly used in pharmaceutical, food and other clean industry applications. Being a particularly resilient material, it maintains its properties even at very high or very low temperatures.
Some grades of silicone sheeting remain flexible and exhibit low levels of compression set, even at temperatures as high as 315°C and as low as -100°C. Naturally electrically insulating, it offers high tear resistance, tensile strength and good elongation at break.
Remaining constant whatever the temperature, silicone has excellent resistance to heat while remaining flexible at low temperatures. Low in flammability, it is resistant to ultra-violet light, weathering, sea water and ozone. WRAS approved, it is metal detectable and exhibits low smoke toxicity.
Coruba's range of silicone sheeting includes red silicone food and drink grade, white silicone food and drink grade, translucent silicone food and drink grade, blue silicone food and drink grade, white silicone WRAS grade 60° shore, black silicone general purpose and white silicone general purpose. Available in a range of sizes, including custom lengths, it is perfectly suited to a wide range of applications.
